Boy idol group Sexy Zone has announced their 3rd single “Sexy Summer ni Yuki ga Furu” that is featured as theme song for Fuji TV series “Real Scope Z”. The release also includes coupling song “Ame Datte” sung by new unit Sexy Boyz consisting of two Sexy Zone members and 6 from Johnny’s Jr. The single is offered in 4 editions though one is only available at the Johnny’s Dome Theater venue. Release date is scheduled for October 3rd – complete information on the single follows.
Sexy Zone’s first two singles, “Sexy Zone” (Nov 2011) & “Lady Diamond” (April 2012), both charted #1 on the weekly Oricon singles charts. The idol group set a record with an average age of just 14 1/2 for being the youngest group to top the Oricon charts with their debut single.
The new single “Sexy Summer ni Yuki ga Furu” has tie-in as theme song for Fuji TV series “Real Scope Z” – their second single “Lady Diamond” was also featured as theme song for this TV variety show in which the group members are regular participants. Also with a tie-in on this single, coupling song “Kimi no Tame Boku ga Iru” was used as image song during the London 2012 Olympics Volleyball games airing on Japanese TV.
New on this single is coupling song “Ame Datte” that is performed by new 8-unit Sexy Boyz that consists of Sou Matsushima and Yo Marius of Sexy Zone and 6 new Johnny’s Jr. members.
