Kalafina has announced their 14th single “Kimi no Gin no Niwa” with tie-in as the main theme song for upcoming anime movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica Rebellion. Kalafina has another upcoming release – their 13th single “Hallelujah” will drop October 2nd 2013 (more details). The single’s set to be featured as the theme song for another upcoming anime movie The Garden of Sinners recalled out summer (Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin). It’s the 8th The Garden of Sinners movie and 8th theme song provided by Kalafina for the popular anime movie series.
For the original 2011 TV anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Kalafina provided the ending theme with their 9th single “Magia”. Their 12th single “Hikari Furu” (2012.10.24) was featured as the theme song for the second compilation movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Eternal Story (Eien no Monogatari).
The third movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica Rebellion is all new and continues the story as Homura Akemi continues to fight alone in the world that Madoka left behind for humanity.
The movie opens in Japan October 26th 2013, France November 16th, and as yet undecided date this winter in US and Canada. More details at the official websites (links below).
Also continuing their association with Puella Magi Madoka Magica is ClariS who will provide the opening theme song for the movie with their 8th single “Colorful” (more details).
