How do AKB48 members keep up their energy? Nissin Cup Noodle ad campaign “REAL” has the answer. Just posted are five CM videos featuring AKB48 members – Atsuko Maeda, Shimazaki Haruka, Iwata Karen, Takahashi Minami, and Sashihara Rino. The videos follow,
The popular idol group AKB48 held a concert at the Seibu Dome in Saitama this past summer and will release the concert footage on DVD December 28. The concert, “Yossha ~Ikuzo~! in Seibu Dome” (“All Right ~ Lets Go~!”) was held over 3 days back on July 22nd-24th 2011. Sister groups SKE48, SDN48, and NMB48 all participated. Approximately 90,000 attended the concerts over the combined three days. Atsuko Maeda (center) and the rest have plenty to smile about these days with their fans showing the idol group much support.
The DVD covering all 3 days will come with a bonus making of the video 132pg photo booklet and be housed in a "Special BOX" (¥18,900).
Additional DVD versions will cover each of the individual concert days, 3 different (¥5980 each), and another set of 5 different DVDs will each carry a different hit song "digest" (¥2980 each). As a bonus each will come with 5 photos randomly selected from 116 different.
AKB48 fans will have a lot to pick from on these DVDs. Seeing your favorite idol performing in the heat of summer is a sure way to bring some heat to warm for the New Year.

Dominant idol group, AKB48 released their newest single today, “Kaze wa Fuiteiru” and its already a 1+ million seller. Oricon is reporting 1,045,937 in first day sales for the group’s 23rd single.
The new single includes fifteen members from AKB48, two from SKE48, and one from NMB48. For the b-side songs the traditional Undergirls unit performs “Kimi na Senaka”. A third track on each edition will be performed by either Undergirls Bara (Team A) and Undergirls Yuri (Team K).

The costume design and color palate are a bit of a departure for AKB48 – muted green and a medieval nymph or fairy look with the backdrop of a misty forest. Bell sleeves, ethnic prints, and long feather earrings combine to create a look with surprising artistic and mature appeal.
The new single includes fifteen members from AKB48, two from SKE48, and one from NMB48. For the b-side song the traditional Undergirls unit performs “Kimi na Senaka”. Additionally, in a bit of a new move the AKB48 producers are pushing the often referenced-little used under-under units of Team A and Team K – now referring to them as Undergirls Bara and Undergirls Yuri. Each of these Undergirls units will have a b-side song performed depending on the edition of the single purchased. Can’t just buy one edition….
For those who must, fortunately there will be only two different versions released, Type-A and Type-B, both coming with a DVD with the music videos, as well as a voting ticket for the upcoming “AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2012” event in January of 2012.

This year’s top-selling book, “Moshi Koukou Yakyuu no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no ‘Management’ wo Yondara,” is being adapted as a live-action film, starring AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda (19). Although Maeda has starred in recent dramas such as “Q10″ and “Majisuka Gakuen,” this will be her first lead role in a movie. Her last appearance in one was “Nasu Shonenki” in 2008.
The original book, also known as “Moshidora,” was published by Natsumi Iwasaki in December 2009, and it has sold approximately 1.81 million copies since then to become the biggest hit of the year. The story revolves around Minami Kawashima, the female manager of a high school baseball team who mistakenly buys the book “Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices” by the late management expert Peter Drucker. Using Drucker’s advice on management, she reforms the team with the goal of reaching the Koshien tournament.
Although the book’s main character was originally modeled after AKB48′s Minami Minegishi (18), she will instead be playing a supporting role as another one of the team’s managers. Koji Seto (22) has been cast as the team’s ace pitcher, while Sosuke Ikematsu (20) is taking on the role of a catcher. Other cast members include Haruna Kawaguchi (15) as a friend of the protagonist and Yo Oizumi (37) as the team’s coach.

AKB48 members Atsuko Maeda, Yuko Oshima, Tomomi Itano, and Sayaka Akimoto are appearing in “VOGUE girl,” a supplement included with the November issue of women’s magazine VOGUE NIPPON.
The issue, which goes on sale on September 28, features the four members each promoting different brands. Oshima is wearing Cartier, Maeda is wearing Tiffany, Itano is wearing Bulgari, and Akimoto is wearing Chaumet.
In addition, VOGUE girl is releasing a free application for the iPhone and iPad at the end of this month. An interview video with the 4 girls is also being released. A short teaser of the video is currently available on the Vogue website.

Atsuko Maeda, 19, of the pop band AKB48 was the special guest this week at the opening of Cafe Studio in Harajuku, a new cafe based on the successful “Twilight” books and movies.
Holding a copy of one of the vampire novels, which center around the relationships between vampires and human women, Maeda said: “They are great love stories. There is something sexy about the world of vampires. If my lover was a vampire, I’d want to become one, too.”
