
The final of the five consecutive release project by Acid Black Cherry will be a single titled “Yes” and is set for release on January 18, 2012. The title track of this single is described as the ultimate love ballad.
The b-side song will be a track written 10 years ago by yasu as a Recreation Song for radio show “All Night Nippon Super Neptune” and it will be titled “Stop It Love.” The single “Yes” will come in a Limited CD + DVD edition of 50,000 copies, a Limited CD only edition, and a special “Thanks to you” single song edition available at Tsutaya Records stores.

Starting last September Acid Black Cherry begin a five consecutive months release project. The 4th single “CRISIS” is detailed in a previous post and it will be released December 21st.

Two Johnny’s Entertainment groups topped the charts with week – the debut of Sexy Zone on the singles charts and Kanjani8 on the album charts. Overall a strong week for single releases as only last weeks topper SKE48 managed to stay in the top 10 at #8.
In a close second place was AKB48 subunit Not Yet with their single “Pera Pera Perao” and third went to Acid Black Cherry’s “Chou” their 4th single in four months. They have one more single to go in their consecutive month release project.
On the album charts Kanjani 8 took top honors with their 4th #1 album “FIGHT” and T.M.Revolution’s compilation album of theme songs contributed to the Sengoku Basara anime and game franchise, “UTAGE” was a nice second on the chart.

AKB48 sister group out of Namba, Osaka, NMB48 again blasted the charts at #1 with over 265,000 sold of their 2nd single “Oh My God!” With their 1st single also selling at +200K makes it two in a row for NMB48 and is a first for any female group. Making a strong showing at #2 is BUMP OF CHICKEN with their single “Zero” at over 163,000 copies sold. “Zero” is featured as theme for popular RPG game “FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0.” KARA should have picked a different week to release their newest single “Winter Magic” but they did well to land in the #3 spot.
Fall anime theme songs from Minori Chihara and Maaya Sakamoto make the charts in the 9th and 10th spots respectively.
On the album side duo Tegomass consisting of NEWS members Yuya Tegoshi and Takahisa Masuda hit the #1 spot with their 3rd album release “Magic of Tegomass.” Kazuyoshi Saito and his new album “45 STONES” slides into the #2 spot just ahead of Coldplay’s “Mylo Xyloto” in #3.

“CRISIS” will be Acid Black Cherry’s 14th single over all and the 4th single from his five-month consecutive release project. It’s described to be an intense, heart-wrenching rock tune. The b-side song is a cover or “recreation track” of Watanabe Misato’s 1986 hit song, “BELIEVE”.
The 2nd single in this consecutive release project “Shangri-La” was dropped this past Thursday the 21st and the 3rd “butterfly” is set for November 16th.

VAMPS and Acid Black Cherry along with other groups will hold 4 concerts over the next two weeks under the name of “HALLOWEEN PARTY 2011”. Other groups participating are BREAKERZ, SID, SADS, Shokotan, and AKB48 sub-group Corridor Running Team (7). Only VAMPS and Acid Black Cherry will appear in all performances. The concerts will be on the 21st and 22nd in Chiba, and the 29th and 30th in Kobe. The finale night of the event is said to use a lavish Thai theme. All the concerts might be a bit scary and for sure they will rock.
