AKB0048 anime used a multiple round selection processes to find 9 members of the AKB48 family to voice the aspiring junior members portrayed in the anime. Animation production is by studio Satelight and looks to be of very high quality – cost per episode we’d expect to be quite high with the AKB48 collaboration.
