Girls Generation (SNSD) has announced the delay of their new Japanese single “LOVE & GIRLS” – originally scheduled for May 29th its been delayed until June 19th 2013. The single is their first of 2013 and 7th Japanese single overall. The delay may have to do with a revised Limited edition that will now include a music video for the title track. Topping the singles charts this week is the debut single from HKT48 – “Suki! Suki! Skip!” – selling over 250,000 copies. The Fukuoka based sister group of AKB48 formed in 2011 and follows other sister groups SKE48 and NMB48 which previously have released debut singles.
In the #2 spot is Korean girl group T-ARA with their 6th Japanese single “Bunny Style!” and in the #6 spot is Aimer with “RE: I AM EP” with tie-in as theme song for anime OVA Mobile Suit Gundam UC Unicorn episode 6.
On the album charts band BOOWY tops with their great hits album “THE BEST STORY”. In the #3 spot is favorite Kalafina with their 4th album “Consolation”. In the #10 spot is the anime K-ON! MUSIC HISTORY’S BOX which is a 12-CD 258 song compilation release.

Topping the single charts is the first solo single from Hey! Say! JUMP member Ryosuke Yamada – “Mystery Virgin” sold a strong 188,000 copies which put it easily on top. In third spot is Yuzu with “REASON” featured as the new ending theme for anime Hunter x Hunter. And girl-boy group Fudanjuku hits the charts in the 9th spot with “Jinsei Wahaha!”
The album charts are topped by Ayumi Hamasaki with her self cover album “Classical” featuring full classical arrangements on her popular songs.

GIRLS GENERATION (SNSD) is getting ready to release their 4th studio album “I Got a Boy” in Korea with import editions available in Japan. The release is the first by the whole group in Korea in over 14 months. The album includes new digital singles “Dancing Queen” and “I Got a Boy” plus more for 10 total tracks. Album “I Got a Boy” releases in Korea on January 2nd 2013 and available in Japan on two import versions on January 11th and February 6th 2013. The single sold over 1,073,499 copies. In the second spot is lead vocalist Atsushi of male group EXILE with a solo single “Melrose ~ Aisanai yakusoku ~”.
Landing in 6th is the EGOIST unit formed with ryo (supercell) and vocalist chelly with their 3rd single “Namae no Nai Kabutsu” which is featured as the ending theme for anime PSYCHO-PASS.
Topping the album charts is EXILE with “Best Hits Love Side / Soul Side” compilation album selling 382,000 copies. In the second and third spots are YUI with her greatest hits albums “Green Garden Pop” and “Orange Garden Pop” – both selling over 115,000 copies.

Topping this week’s singles charts is new unit The MONSTERS with debut single “MONSTERS” selling over 160,000 copies. The unit consists of Yamashita Tomohisa (Yamapi) and Katori Shingo of SMAP and the song is featured as theme song for TBS drama MONSTERS in which Yamapi and Katori are co-staring.
Fourth spot goes to FTISLAND with their 9th single “Polar Star” (full music video revealed) and landing in the 7th spot is Luna Haruna with her 2nd “Overfly” featured as the new ending theme for popular anime Sword Art Online.

Topping this week’s singles charts is popular AKB48 idol Mayu Watanabe (Mayuyu) and her 3rd solo single “Hikaru mono tachi / Sayonara no Hashi” selling over 91,000 copies. The single’s coupling track “Sayonara no Hashi” is featured as the theme song for anime movie “Nerawareta Gakuen”. Mayu Watanabe is also voicing a lead character Nasuki in the anime movie that opened October 19th.
