On top this week is Koda Kumi with her first single of 2012 “Go to the top” – the single is featured as the first opening theme for anime Total Eclipse. Its Koda Kumi’s first single since giving birth to a healthy baby boy this past July – a #1 single is a great gift fans gave to the new family.

Landing in the 4th spot is Kalafina with new single “Hikari Furu” featured as the opening theme for the second compilation movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Eternal Story (Eien no Monogatari) that hit theaters October 13th. The ClariS duo’s new single “Luminous” featured as the opening theme for the first compilation movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Beginning Story (Hajimari no Monogatari) makes its third week in the top 10.

And just out of the top 10 in the 11th spot is Minori Chihara with single “SELF PRODUCER”.

The album charts are again topped by KANJANI8 and their best hits album “8EST”. The second spot is teenager singing sensation Leo Ieiri with her first album “LEO”. Landing in the 5th spot is Korean boy band B1A4 with their first Japanese album “1”.

Koda Kumi has updated the release details for her new single “Go to the top” – cover jackets are now revealed. The single is featured as the opening theme for Summer mech anime Total Eclipse which continues another 12 episode run this Fall. For the title song “Go to the top” – Koda Kumi wrote the lyrics and teamed with composer CLARABELL to compose and produce the song. The single is featured as the opening theme for summer mech anime Total Eclipse and set to hit stores October 24th. “Go to the top” is offered in three editions including a Limited “Total Eclipse” anime themed version.
