On top of the singles charts is long time male group SMAP with their 49th single “Mistake! / Battery” selling over 161,000 copies. The #2 spot goes to Perfume with single “Mirai no Museum” that’s featured as the theme song for long running anime franchise Doraemon new movie Doraemon Nobita no Himitsu Dogu Museum (Doraemon Nobita’s Secret Gadget Museum).

Last week’s #1 from mega idol group AKB48 – their 12th million+ selling single “So Long !” – slips into the #3 spot with 50,000 more copies sold.

Topping the album charts is NMB48 with their first album “Teppen Tottande!” selling a strong 328,000 copies. Solo album “D’scover” from BIGBANG member D-LITE lands in the #2 spot. Pop diva Koda Kumi hits the #3 spot with cover song album “Color the Cover” and T.M.Revolution with a self-cover album “UNDER:COVER 2” slides into the #4 spot.

Koda Kumi is getting ready to release a new album “Color the Cover” which features her covering songs such as “Pink Spider” from hide (1998, released after his death), “Lovely” from Ozawa Kenji (1994), and “Koyoi no tsuki no youni” from Elephant Kashimashi (1997). The cover jackets and full track list have been revealed. Album “Color the Cover” is Koda Kumi’s second cover album and it comes in three editions including a Limited with DVD and photo booklet. The single has tie-ups with their TV variety program “Gacha Gacha V6” and game “Shin Hokutomuso”. Landing in the #2 spot is UVERworld with single “REVERSI” which is featured as the theme song for anime movie Blue Exorcist.

Idol group Momoiro Clover Z gets two singles on the charts – in the #5 spot is a venue only release at their Saitama Super Arena Christmas Dec. 24th & 25th events “Bokura no senchuri” and in #10 is previously released “Saraba, Itoshiki Kanashimitachi yo” (Nov 21st).

On the album charts is the third album release from Sandaime J Soul Brothers – “MIRACLE” – the group’s first #1 selling album.

On top this week is Koda Kumi with her first single of 2012 “Go to the top” – the single is featured as the first opening theme for anime Total Eclipse. Its Koda Kumi’s first single since giving birth to a healthy baby boy this past July – a #1 single is a great gift fans gave to the new family.

Landing in the 4th spot is Kalafina with new single “Hikari Furu” featured as the opening theme for the second compilation movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Eternal Story (Eien no Monogatari) that hit theaters October 13th. The ClariS duo’s new single “Luminous” featured as the opening theme for the first compilation movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Beginning Story (Hajimari no Monogatari) makes its third week in the top 10.

And just out of the top 10 in the 11th spot is Minori Chihara with single “SELF PRODUCER”.

The album charts are again topped by KANJANI8 and their best hits album “8EST”. The second spot is teenager singing sensation Leo Ieiri with her first album “LEO”. Landing in the 5th spot is Korean boy band B1A4 with their first Japanese album “1”.
