Namie Amuro has announced her 11th original album “FEEL” and revealed a promo video plus nearly all the release details including jacket covers. The album’s track list includes single “Big Boys Cry”, digital single “Contrail”, unreleased single “Can You Feel This Love”, and atleast 7 new songs plus more for 12 total tracks. Both songs have tie-ins to productions that star group members (more details). In the #6 spot is unit EGOIST (ryo producing, chelly vocals) with their 4th single “All Alone With You” featured as the second ending theme for anime PSYCHO-PASS.

On the album charts its Korean power duo Tohoshinki (TVXQ) with their new Japanese album “TIME” selling over 243,000 copies (more details). In the #3 spot is Acid Black Cherry (yazu) who continues the winter season trend of cover albums with “Recreation 3”. Landing in the #9 spot is GRANRODEO with their greatest hits album “Greatest Hits ~ GIFT REGISTRY ~”.

Topping the Oricon charts this week is KANJANI8 credited as Eight Ranger with single “ER” that is featured as theme song for movie “Eight Ranger” which stars all the members of Kanjani8. The single sold over 330,000 copies to easily top the charts. In the second spot is another popular male group – EXILE with their single “BOWS & ARROWS” selling over 95,000 copies.

Making it to the 8th spot is U-KISS with single “Dear My Friend” featured as the ending theme for anime Arashi no Yoru ni.

On the album charts last weeks #1 remains in the top spot – Southern All Stars member Kuwata his solo album of greatest hits “I LOVE YOU -now & forever-“ support another 120,000 copies. In the second spot is Yamashita Tomohisa and his album “Ero” selling over 80,000 copies. Landing in the 5th spot is Eri Kitamura with her 1st album “RE; STORY” selling a good 16,000 copies.

The Oricon charts are topped this week by NEWS and their single “Chankapana” selling over 244,000 copies. AKB48 sub-group French Kiss has their 5th single “Romance Privacy” landing in the #2 spot on the charts with over 85,000 copies sold. Singer and voice actress Kana Hanazawa charts well in the #4 spot (release details) and Korean sensation IU sees her second Japanese single chart in the 5th spot (release details).

On the album charts its Southern All Stars member Kuwata dominating with a special solo album of greatest hits “I LOVE YOU -now & forever-“ which had strong fan support selling over 430,000 copies. In the second spot is SEKAI NO OWARI with their album “ENTERTAINMENT” with 65,000 copies sold. And Namie Amuro’s album “Uncontrolled” which held the top spot for the past 3 weeks is pushed down to the #3 spot.

OriconThis past week the Oricon single charts are topped by Tohoshinki (TVXQ) with their new single “ANDROID” selling over 150,000 copies. Check out the release details and preview video for their 2nd single of 2012. In the second spot is one of our favorites SCANDAL with “Taiyo Scandalous” selling a good 31,500 copies – more details on this single including information on the 2 special band units formed for the coupling songs can be found in a previous report.

Another favorite, Minori Chihara (singer/seiyuu) gets her latest single “ZONE//ALONE” in the #6 spot on the charts. This single is featured as the opening theme for anime “Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere II” – hit this link for more details and preview music video.

The weekly album charts again find pop-diva Namie Amuro with album “Uncontrolled” at the top for the 3rd week in a row – selling another 44,000 copies (release details). In the 3rd spot is favorite seiyuu group Sphere and their third album “Third Planet” with 21,000 sold. Check out the release details.

SUPER JUNIOR gets their import mini-album “Sexy, Free & Single” into the 5th spot on the album charts. They are releasing this song with Japanese lyrics as their new Japanese single on August 22nd – more details here.

OriconThe single charts are topped by Kim Hyun Joong with his 2nd Japanese single “HEAT” selling over 183,000 copies (release details) – its his first #1 Japanese single! 

The 2nd spot goes to Yamashita Tomohisa (Yamapi) with his single “LOVE CHASE” that is featured as ending theme for anime Toriko – it sold over 118,000 copies (release details). Landing in 3rd spot is longtime idol group Morning Musume with “One Two Three / The Matenro Show” -  one of their better selling singles in some time – with over 100,000 copies sold. The 4th spot goes to SUPER☆GiRLS and 5th spot is the combined 2PM+2AM with “OneDay” tied-in to their documentary film (release details).

The weekly album charts aren’t much changed from last week and again are topped by pop-diva Namie Amuro with album “Uncontrolled” – selling another 79,000 copies of her 7th #1 album (release details). Second spot still finds GReeeeN with their very long titled album “Utautai……” selling another 34,000 copies.

The 3rd spot goes to Momoiro Clover Z with “Otome Senso” and the 4th spot is the first Japanese release from Korean boy idol group B1A4 with “Beautiful Target” (release details).
