In the #2 spot is DISH// with double a-side single Saisho no Koi ~Motetakute~ / Flame. Landing in #3 is Korean vocal group SHINee with 10th Japanese single LUCKY STAR.

KAT-TUN lands on top of the album charts with their 8th album come Here selling over 75,000 copies. 2NE1’s 2nd Japanese album and first Japanese release in over a year and a half, CRUSH climbs into #4. Super seiyuu group Sphere pulls into #7 with their 4th album 4 colors for you.

Singer Aimer lands in #9 with her 2nd album Midnight Sun plus her collaboration album UnChild with Sawano Hiroyuki [nZk] lands in #10.

Namie Amuro’s compilation album Ballada containing her best ballad songs has charted for 3 straight weeks and stays at #3. Also continuing its run on the charts is the original soundtrack album FROZEN (Anna and the Snow Queen) staying at #5 having spent 16 straight weeks in the top 10.

Korean actor/singer Kim Hyun Joong tops the singles charts with his 4th Japanese single HOT SUN selling over 83,000 copies. Rock band UVERworld lands in #2 with single 7 Kame no Ketsui (7日目の決意) – their 26th single and featured during their UVERworld ARENA LIVE 2013 winter tour.

Topping the albums chart is Hey! Say! JUMP with their 3rd album smart selling over 126,000 copies. Longtime rock group X JAPAN has a new greatest hits album in #2 and last week’s #1 from Namie Amuro, her compilation album Ballada containing her best ballad songs, slips to #3.

The original soundtrack album FROZEN (Anna and the Snow Queen) continues its run but slipping to #5 after several weeks in the top 3. The album has now spent 15 straight weeks in the top 10.

Idol unit 9nine has their 3rd album MAGI9 PLAYLAND in the appropriate spot, #9!

Landing at #3 is fictional idol group μ’s (Muse) from anime Love Live! with insert songs from episode 5 & 6 – Love wing bell / Dancing stars on me!.

Topping the albums chart for the second week in a row is Namie Amuro with compilation album Ballada containing her best ballad songs. KAT-TUN tops the singles chart with In Fact selling over 145,000 copies. Their 22nd single has tie-up as the theme song for Fuji TV drama FIRST CLASS featuring member Yuichi Nakamaru.

At #3 anime tied release from idol group Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku (私立恵比寿中学) 6th single Butterfly Effect with a strong 53,000 copies sold. The single has tie-up as the opening theme for anime Nanana’s Buried Treasure.

Topping the albums chart is Namie Amuro with compilation album Ballada containing her best ballad songs. In #2 is high school duo ClariS with 3rd album PARTY TIME.

Its their 7th #1 single plus best opening week single by over 60,000 copies (for the second time in a row). Note: for the 4th week in a row and 5 of the past 6 weeks an AKB48 affiliated group tops the singles charts.

Korean band FTISLAND lands in #5 with their 13th Japanese single Mitaiken Future.

Topping the album chart is top male singer Fukuyama Masaharu with his 11th album HUMAN selling over 213,000 copies. In the #2 spot is last week’s topper Kis-My-Ft2 with singles compilation album HIT! HIT! HIT! selling another 26,000 copies. Anime tied group OLDCODEX lands in #5 with their 3rd album A Silent within The Roar and voice actress Suzuko Mimori hits #9 with her 1st album Suki (好きっ).

A very full week of new single releases are topped by long-running idol group Morning Musume with their 55th single with triple title songs Egao no Kimi wa Taiyo sa / Kimi no Kawari wa Iyashinai / What is LOVE selling over 149,000 copies. The group continues a resurgence having again their best opening week seller since 2002 and their best run of #1 single releases since the beginning of the previous decade.  In the #3 spot is longtime pop/R&B singer Namie Amuro with her 42nd single TSUKI.

The anime tied releases are topped by fictional idol group μ’s from anime Love Live! in the #4 spot with single Takaramonozu / Paradise Live featured in their new smartphone game and ClariS with their 9th single CLICK featured as opening theme for anime Nisekoi. Charts expanded to top 21 to cover all the other releases of interest.

Topping the album charts is Korean group 2PM with their 3rd Japanese album GENESIS OF 2PM with over 63,000 copies sold. In the #2 spot are the voice actors for anime Uta no Prince-sama with album from theatrical play Gekidan Shinning Tenka Muteki no Shinobimichi and last weeks topper AKB48 with their 5th original album Tsugi no Ashiato slips down to the #3 spot.

Topping Oricon album charts for 2013* is Arashi with their 12th album LOVE that topped the charts for two consecutive weeks with over 780,000+ sold. In the #2 & #3 spots are long time duo B’z with their best compilation albums B’z The Best XXV 1988 – 1998 & B’z The Best XXV 1999 – 2012.

In the #4 spot is FUNKY MONKEY BABYS with compilation album LAST BEST which is the only album in the top 20 which didn’t debut at #1. The album was #2 behind Kis-My-Ft2’s Good Ikuse! (#13) but the following week it climbed into #1 and charted in the top 10 for 11 consecutive weeks.

In the #5 spot is NMB48 with their first album Teppen Tottande! and they are the only idol group in the top 20 albums this year.
