Many anime tied releases including Shoko Nakagawa with current ending theme DoriDori (ドリドリ) for anime Pokemon XY landing at #8. Out of the top 10 – voice actor Nitta Emi hits #12 & #15 with singles NEXT PHASE (ED2 Cardfight! Vanguard G) and Tankyu Dreaming (ED Tantei Opera Milky Holmes TD). Aoi Eir with single GENESIS (ED Aldnoah.ZERO season 2) at #17 and Milky Holmes unit at #20 with Milky A GO GO (OP Tantei Opera Milky Holmes TD).

Boy idols of Generations from EXILE TRIBE top the album chart with GENERATION EX. The 4th week on the charts for J Soul Brothers staying at #2 with PLANET SEVEN.

Solo single from Shibutani Subaru (KANJANI8) Kioku / Kokoro Oboreba tops the singles charts selling over 101,000 copies. MAN WITH A MISSION lands at #2 with 5th anniversary single Seven Deadly Sins selling 40,000 copies.

Anime music gets idol group Afilia Saga with 14th single Never say Never the opening theme for anime ISUCA at #4. Angela with single Exist the opening theme for Fafner EXODUS lands at #7.

Celebrating their 5th anniversary voice actor unit Sphere released single Jounetsu CONTINUE the ending theme for anime Yoru no Yatterman climbing to #9 and they also released best album “sphere” landing at #7 on the album charts.

Rock band OK ONE ROCK tops the album charts with 7th album 35xxxv selling over 164,000 copies. After topping the album charts for two weeks J Soul Brothers slips to #2 with PLANET SEVEN selling another 62,000 copies. Korean singer/actor Kim Hyun Joong with 2nd Japanese album Imademo lands in #3.

Boy idols of Johnny’s WEST top the charts with single Zundoko Paradise selling over 97,000 copies. Landing in #2 is ANGERME with their first single A Later Bloomer (Taiki Bansei)/A Girl’s Counterattack (Otome no Gyakushu). ANGERME is the re-formed S/Mileage group with 3 new members joining.

Anime music director/composer Sawano Hiroyuki has both a single and album on the charts this week – as SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] he released single &Z featured as opening theme for season 2 of anime Aldnoah.ZERO and has himself released a compilation album of his best vocal works featured various singers.

J Soul Brothers tops the album charts for the 2nd week with PLANET SEVEN selling another 109,000 copies. SEKAI NO OWARI moves back into the #2 spot with album Tree its been in the top 3 for 4 straight weeks.

2PM tops the singles charts with 9th Japanese single Guilty Love selling 98,000 copies. The Momoiro Clover Z vs KISS collaboration single Yume no Ukiuyo ni Saitemina (夢の浮世に咲いてみな) climbs into #2. And the boys of GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE hit #3 with single Sing it Loud.

GRANRODEO tops anime tie-up releases landing in #8 with PUNKY FUNKY LOVE opening theme for the 3rd season of Kuroko’s Basketball. Maaya Sakamoto lands at #9 with 25th single Shiawase ni Tsuite Watashi ga Shitteiru Itsutsu no Hoho / Shikisai. Title track Shiawase ni Tsuite Watashi ga Shitteiru Itsutsu no Hoho has tie-up as OP for Gourmet Girl Graffiti.

J Soul Brothers dominates the album charts with PLANET SEVEN selling over 508,000 copies. Idol unit Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku hits #2 with 2nd album KINPACHI and in the top 3 for the past three weeks – SEKAI NO OWARI slips to #3 with album Tree.

KAT-TUN tops the singles charts with 23rd single Dead or Alive selling over 191,000 copies. The single has tie-up as theme song for movie JOKER GAME staring member Kazuya Kamenashi. Korean vocal units JYJ with WAKE ME TONIGHT and B1A4 with Shiroi Kiseki jump into #2 and #3 respectively.

AKB48 dominates the album charts with Koko ga Rhodes da, Koko de Tobe! selling over 746,000 copies. Their 6th original album is tied to fan x member photo shoot events. Last week’s #1 slips only one spot to #2 – SEKAI NO OWARI with album Tree selling another 74,000 copies.

Idol unit Berryz Kobo lands at #5 with their greatest hits album Kanjuku Berryz Kobo The Final Completion Box. The longtime Hello! Project group announced they’ll go on indefinite hiatus this spring 2015.

Rock unit Ling Tosite Sigure climbs to #6 with their 5th single Who What Who What – the featured theme for anime movie from the PSYCHO-PASS franchise.

SEKAI NO OWARI tops the album charts with Tree selling a strong 247,000 copies. Ling Tosite Sigure simultaneously released album Best of Tornado also landing at #6 on the charts.

Ikimonogakari tops the weekly album charts with 7th original album FUN! FUN! FANFARE! selling over 101,000 copies. Vocal/dance unit E-Girls lands at #2 with album E.G.Time that includes song Highschool love featured as theme song for TV series GTO.

AKB48 tops the 2014 annual album rankings with their 5th album Tsugi no Ashiato selling over 1,041,000 copies. The album, in addition to containing their singles and many new songs, is tied to member 2-shot photo events. Landing at #2 is the ultra popular animated movie FROZEN (Anna and the Snow Queen) sound track album that charted in the top 10 for an amazing 24 straight weeks.

SKE48 tops the singles charts this week with their 16th single 12-Gatsu no Kangaroo (December no Kangaroo,12月のカンガルー) selling over 386,000 copies. The single marks the first time newer members Kitagawa Ryouha (北川綾巴) and Miyamae Ami (宮前杏実) are featured as co-centers.

LiSA leads the anime tied singles with her 7th single Shirushi landing at #3 – her best on weekly Oricon charts. The single’s featured as the second ending theme for anime Sword Art Online season 2 (SAO II). Last week Haruka Tomatsu released single courage that also landed at #3 and its featured as the second opening theme for SAO II.

Topping the album charts is duo KinKi Kids with M Album – their 14th original album and 14th #1 album. Landing at #2 is a compilation album Co Gal marking the 50th birthday of former X Japan guitarist/singer hide (suicide 1998).

Nagi Yanagi lands at #6 with her 2nd album Polyomino.
