Porno Graffitti is set to release their 9th album “PANORAMA PORNO” on March 28th. The album has 15 tracks including singles “2012Spark”, “EXIT”, “Yuki no Iro”, “Kimi wa 100%”, and “One More Time”. It comes in two editions, a Limited with bonus DVD with all five single’s music videos and TV Spots plus the off shoot footage for “Kimi wa 100%”, and a Regular CD only edition. The Oricon weekly singles charts is topped by NMB48 and their 3rd single “Jungou U-19” with nearly 330,000 copies sold. All 3 of NMB48’s singles have charted #1 which is a first for female artists on the Oricon charts.
On the album charts L’Arc~en~Ciel and their new album “BUTTERFLY” easily top with over 170,000 copies sold. Its been over 4 years since the group released a full album and fans clearly were waiting.

TV Asahi’s music show “MUSIC STATION” guest lineup for the Friday February 10th airing has been released – L’Arc~en~Ciel, Hey! Say! JUMP, Porno Graffitti, YUKI (second week in a row), and miwa - are set to perform. More details on the performances follow,
TV Asahi’s long running weekly music show “MUSIC STATION” will be off next week December 16th while they prepare for their mega year-end show “MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE 2011.” The 4-hour event will be broadcast live from Chiba Makuhari Messe on December 23rd starting at 7:00PM. Ten new singles have hit the Oricon weekly charts with AKB48 subunit French Kiss in the top spot. More details and preview video of their new single, “Saisho no Mail” were previously posted. Lots of great new singles on the list including in the #5 spot, LiSA and “oath sign” which is also featured as the opening theme for current Fall anime “Fate/Zero.” This is LiSA’s debut single and her previous work includes Girls Dead Monster fictional group from anime “Angel Beats.”
Rounding out the top 10 is another anime related release, supercell’s latest single “My Dearest” featuring new vocalist, Koeda. “My Dearest” is featured as the opening theme for anime “Guilty Crown” and supercell leader ryo is in charge of all music production for this Fall anime.
On the album charts Korean group KARA dominated with their new album “Super Girl” and set a new high sales mark for a non-Japanese female group (topping Girls Generation). Showing strong in #3 is Nana Mizuki’s second best song album, “THE MUSEUM II.”

The website for the live-action film adaptation of CAPCOM‘s “Ace Attorney” (Gyakuten Saiban) videogame announced that the rock band Porno Graffitti will provide the film’s theme song. Porno Graffitti has been producing singles since 1999 and provided theme songs for numerous projects such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Bleach. They can be seen December 1st performing at the “Act Against AIDS” concert held at Nippon Budokan.
Ace Attorney film will open February 11th 2012 and cast includes (pictured above) Hiroki Narimiya as Phoenix Wright (Ryuichi Naruhodo), Takumi Saitō as prosecutor Miles Edgeworth (Reiji Mitsurugi), and Mirei Kiritani as Maya Fey (Mayoi Ayasato).
The film adaption is set in a parallel Japan, where a large increase in harsh crimes has led to a new court system. Under this new system, the defense attorney and public prosecutor battle for three days in open court to determine guilt or innocence of the accused, placing priority on speed instead of thorough investigation.

“Act Against AIDS” (AAA) celebrates the event’s 19th year and “World AIDS Day" with AIDS awareness concert “Act Against AIDS 2011 THE VARIETY 19 – Go for it! Tohoku-." The event will be held at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on December 1st and this year’s motto is: “Go for it! Tohoku”.
The event brings together artists and actors that will include Kaori Kishitani, Goro Kishitani, Terawaki Yasufumi, Sunplaza Nakano & Papparā Kawai (Naoto Inti Raymi), Porno Graffitti, FLOW, WEAVER, Skoop On Somebody, CASCADE, Haruma Miura, and Ken Sato.
Tickets are on sale beginning November 5.
