This week the singles charts are topped by the idols of Nogizaka46 with their 5th single “Kimi no na wa kibo” (君の名は希望) selling over 242,000 copies. It’s the self-appointed rival to AKB48 4th #1 single.
In the #2 spot is Yamashita Tomohisa (Yamapi) with his new single “Kai Sera Sera”. Landing in the #5 spot is Korean boy group SHINee with their 7th Japanese single “Fire”. Pulling into the #7 spot group AAA with single “PARTY IT UP”.
Just out of the top 10 in #11 spot is group supercell with 7th major single “The Bravery” that’s featured as the opening theme for anime Magi – The Labyrinth of Magic.
On the album charts rock band Sakanaction with album “sakanaction” selling a good 82,000 copies. Vocal group AAA also lands on the album charts with compilation album “Ballad Collection” in the #4 spot. EGOIST has announced their next single “All Alone With You” with tie-in as the second ending theme for anime TV series PSYCHO-PASS. The single is the unit’s 4th and follows their single “Namae no Nai Kabutsu” (Dec 5th) which was featured as the first ending theme for PSYCHO-PASS. Toping the single charts idol group Nogizaka46 with their 4th single “Seifuku no Mannequin” which has tie-in as ending theme song for anime Magi – The Labyrinth of Magic. The single is the group’s third #1 single after it sold over 232,000 copies. In the #2 spot is Korean rock band CNBLUE with their 4th Japanese single “Robot” and in third is idol unit Berryz Koubou with single “WANT!”.
In the 7th spot is GACKT with new ballad song “WHITE LOVERS – Shiawase na Toki” and in the 10th spot is singer/voice actress Aki Toyosaki with her 7th solo single “Orion to Supankoru”. And just out in the 11th spot is supercell with single “Giniro Kamihikoki” featured as theme song for anime movie Nerawareta Gakuen.
The album charts are topped by group Ikimonogakari with their compilation album of best ballad songs “Balladon”. The album sold over 107,000 copies and give the group their 5th #1 album (interestingly they have never had a #1 single).
