Superpowered idol group AKB48 has finally launched their own official Youtube channel. The official channel has posted video clips from “Oo Goe Diamond” to “Pony Tail to Shushu.”
This is great news for fans, as AKB48 videos were always being removed from Youtube, but now they will always have a place to go to watch their promotional videos. In a rotating sequence, they will be posting rare videos that were DVD bonus features, along with other hard to find footage.
To top it all off, the AKB Youtube channel will also post original content. AKB48 has been promoting in Japan, but they hope by establishing this Youtube channel, they will be able to reach out to overseas fans as well.
They have also announced the handshake events for their 17th single, “Heavy Rotation.” Details on which venue will have which members are all posted on the official site.
