At Wednesday was the press conference for the romantic comedy “Love Come” starring actress Karina (26) in her first movie leading role since 2004.
Karina will play the role of a manager of a flower arrangement shop, who has not had a boyfriend in nearly two years. Despite her feminine beauty, she can be described as one of the “most frightening woman”. She is reunited with an awkward anime screenwriter, played by Tanaka Kei (26), 17 years after they last met.
Karina’s comment, “I was looking forward to my next movie and was very happy when I got this starring role. The dating scenes with Tanaka felt very fresh and were a lot of fun. We were able to go to various place that you stop going to when becoming an adult and watched the fireworks. I know it’s just for the movie, but I always went to the sate with the feeling, ‘Today I will have a date!’ ”
Young actress Kitano Kie (19) will also appear as a young woman working part-time at a cabaret club and at the flower arrangement shop. She said, “It’s by far the most cheerful and frivolous role I’ve played so far. It was difficult to be in such high spirits since early morning, but I’ve tried to make it easier by having my favorite ice cream every morning.” Actor Watabe Atsuro (42) will play a voice actor who falls in love with Kitano’s character.
The movie will open in Japan on September 25, 2010
