Eiichiro Oda’s incredibly popular manga series “One Piece” will be turned into a 3D movie, it has been announced. The news was revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which revealed that Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro’s manga “Toriko” is also getting a 3D film. 

The “One Piece” franchise has released an animated film every year since 2000. With the popularity of 3D cinema on the rise, Toei Animation said that it has been receiving many requests from fans for a 3D movie.

The “One Piece” and “Toriko” films will be released together as a double feature on March 19, 2011.
