The Pokémon Company, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the first game launch – “Pokeman Red and Green" – will hold a fans’ “Pokémon Game Generations – General Elections."
Fans will vote for their favorite game cover Pokemon from 15 different editions starting with the first game "Pokemon Red – Charizard” to the latest “Pokemon White – Zekrom.” The voting will be held from November 11th until December 25th.
Voting boxes and ballots will be available in stores nationwide (Japan). Because voting is limited to the number of ballots, the voting ends when the ballots run out. Participating stores are Pokemon Center, Toys R Us, Apita, Piaggo, Heiwado Co., Ito-Yokado, Aeon, Arupuraza, Daiei, and Fuji.
The winning Pokemon will be available as a free gift during February 10th-27th for Nintendo DS Pokemon Black and White games.
This fan vote contest is similar to those used by the mega-idol group AKB48 “general elections” to pick members for upcoming singles and performances.
