Singer and voice actress Yu Kobayashi has a character songs release “HANAJI RANRA” from anime Maria Holic (Maria†Holic). Kobayashi provided the voice for main character Shidou Mariya for both seasons of the anime (Maria Holic, Maria Holic Alive). She also performed the opening theme songs for both seasons and the ending song for season two. All three of these songs are part of this new release. More details follow.

Maria Holic anime is adapted from manga by CLAMP and follows the story of second year student Kanako who goes to an all-girls school because of her phobia of men. She hopes to find her yuri (girls love) partner and meets first year student Mariya who fits all her criteria…but this ideal mate happens to be a sadistic cross-dressing boy.


Maria Holic aired its first season winter 2009 and second season, Maria Holic Alive in spring 2011. The anime aired 12 episodes each seasons for a total of 24 episodes. Both seasons can be viewed at streaming site The Anime Network.

This new single release from Yu Kobayashi comes in one anime themed edition. It includes the opening theme for season one “HANAJI” and season two “Runrunriru Ranranrara” both originally performed by Yu Kobayashi. Also included is solo version of the season two ending theme “Dou ni mo Tomaranai” which was used for the final episode 12.
