Japanese idols, Halls candy, and iPhone/iPad are all teaming up to promote Halls Candy via a free app “Halls Eater”.
Available via iTunes Japan the app has a simple goal, catch a virtual candy with your virtual mouth which is fed by one of four Japanese idols (in order below):
Rei Kawashima, Izumi Hinata, Haruka Tachibana, and Fumika Shimizu.
Each idol will say a few things about the benefits of Halls Candy, then touch her hand and she’ll fed you a Halls Candy – that is if you can correctly maneuver the outlined mouth. If you fail the idol will give you a stern talking to but you’ll have another chance. Halls Candy never tasted so good…. Great marketing – Japan Style! {no more on jump}
