AKB48 has announced the title and other release details for their 29th single “Eien Pressure” that features the 16 AKB48 idols who survived their annual Janken Taikai (Rock-Paper-Scissors) tournament. Shimazaki Haruka: “When I heard the song I thought this is a song with feelings of girls who do not have confidence in themselves. I asked Akimoto-sensei ‘why do you know this about me?’ The song is a lovely up-tempo tune and I’m glad I get the chance to sing to so many people.”
The 16 senbatsu members who made it through the 29th single Janken tournament,
1st: Shimazaki Haruka (image below), 2nd: Nito Moeno, 3rd: Yokoyama Yui, 4th: Uchida Mayumi, 5th: Shinoda Mariko, 6th: Abe Maria, 7th: Takeuchi Miyu, 8th: Nakamura Mariko.
9th-16th: Itano Tomomi, Kimoto Kanon, Umeda Ayaka, Maeda Ami, Nakata Chisato, Ueno Kasumi, Kashiwagi Yuki, and Matsubara Natsumi.
AKB48’s 29th single “Eien Pressure” now comes in four editions (a type D just announced) and each includes 2 new songs plus a different third song that feature members from either SKE48, NMB48, or HKT48,
– Limited A with bonus DVD that includes music videos for all 3 tracks, a special music video and part 1 of the Janken Taikai to select the 16 members for the single. First Press version adds 2 photos (one features SKE48 member), additional photo varies by store.
– Limited B with bonus DVD that includes music videos for all 3 tracks, a special music video and part 2 of the Janken Taikai. First Press version adds 2 photos (one features NMB48 member), additional photo varies by store.
– Limited C with bonus DVD that includes music videos for all 3 tracks, a special music video and part 3 of the Janken Taikai. First Press version adds 2 photos (one features HKT48 member), additional photo varies by store.
– Limited D with bonus DVD (tentatively) includes music videos for 3 tracks. First Press version additional photo varies by store. Full details on this edition aren’t available yet.
