Singer/voice actress Aya Hirano has announced a new single “TOxxxIC”, its her first single since transferring record labels to Universal Music Japan. The single is produced by Steve Diamond who has worked with artists such as Britney Spears and Michael Jackson. Its her 12th overall and first in almost three years since “Hysteric Barbie” (2010.06). Aya Hirano began her voice acting career in 2001 (Tenshi no Shippo) and voiced memorable characters Haruhi Suzumiya (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, 2006/2009) and Lucy (Fairy Tail, 2009/on going). She signed with Lantis and released her first single “Breakthrough” (2006) thru her 11th “Hysteric Barbie” (2010). Aya Hirano also released three albums with Lantis “Riot Girl” (2008), “Speed Star” (2009), and best hits “Aya Museum” (2011).
After transferring to Universal Music Japan Aya Hirano released album “Fragments” in May 2012 (more details). She also released single “Zutto Kitto” in the character voice of Lucy which was used as the ending theme for the anime movie “Fairy Tail: Hooh no Miko” (more details).
For the Winter anime season Aya Hirano returns to voice character Imai Nobume (今井信) when anime Gintama re-starts with new episodes January 10th 2013. The character was introduced in episode 244 as one of the key members of the police assassination unit of the Mimawarigumi. In the Baragaki Arc (244-247) the character had a memorable battle with Okita Sougo.
She also continues in her rolls of Lucy (Fairy Tail) and Alisa (Girls und Panzer).
Single “TOxxxIC” comes on two editions,
– Limited with DVD that includes music video for title song (tentative).
– Regular CD-only.
