Ikimonogakari will provide the theme song for the new Detective Conan anime movie, “Detective Conan 11 Hitome no Striker”. The new song “Haruuta” is written specifically for the new movie which will hit theaters in Japan on April 14th. Details on the movie and new song follow,
This most recent "Conan" movie is tied with the Japan Soccer League (J-League) and members are being used in the movie, Yasuhito Endo (Gamba Osaka), Yasuyuki Konno (Gamba Osaka), Kengo Nakamura (Kawasaki Frontale), Seigo Narazaki (Nagoya Grampus), and Kazuyoshi Miura (FC Yokohama).
Suwa Michihiko producer for Detective Conan commented on the choice of Ikimonogakari, “A number of their songs have always had a special place in my heart. It can be a challenge for their first time providing a theme song for Detective Conan movie but I look forward this coupling of long time groups, ‘Conan’ and ‘Ikimonogakari’”.
Yoshioka from Ikimonogakari commented, “Detective Conan is a work loved by people of a wide range of generations and I was very happy we’re working on this given its long history. I will be very happy if people enjoyed the music coupled with the “Detective Conan” movie.”
