Minami Kuribayashi has announced her 31st single “ZERO!!” which will be featured as the opening theme song for upcoming anime Hataraku Mao-Sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer!). Minami Kuribayashi most recently released her 30th single “Doubt the World” with tie-in as the second opening theme for anime Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. The single hit stores November 28th 2012 – more details.

Anime Hataraku Mao-Sama (The Devil is a Part-Timer!) is adapted from light novel series by Wagahara Satoshi. The story follows demon lord Satan who is on the verge of conquering his alternate world when he is whisked away, transported to modern day Tokyo. Now, under his earth name Sadao Mao, he finds himself working part-time at a fast food restaurant. He has plans to conquer this new world of Japan but must over-come his first challenge – move up to a full-time employee. Additionally he must content with Heroine Emilia who has also arrived in Japan in pursuit of the demon lord Satan. (ed. plot sounds very funny if not a bit like Ika Musume (Squid Girl) meets Wagnaria!! (Working!!) – looking forward to it!).
The anime is produced by WHITE FOX and stars Ryota Ohsaka (Eita in Oreshura) as Satan/Sadao Mao and Yoko Hikasa as Emilia/Emi. The anime begins airing in Japan on Tokyo MX in early April. No information yet on if it will be simulcast outside of Japan.
The anime’s ending theme will be provided by group nano.RIPE with their 11th single – “Sankaku ep” – (more details are now posted 3/20).
Single “ZERO!!” comes on two editions,
– Limited with DVD planned to include music video for title track.
– Regular CD-only.
