STEREOPONY recently updated the details for their final release “BEST of STEREOPONY” – cover jackets and full track list are revealed. The album is a compilation of STEREOPONY’s hits which unfortunately for fans comes just after the news announcing their break-up. The group also set their final live event to be held December 27th at Akasaka BLITZ. “BEST of STEREOPONY” comes on two editions and hits November 21st – updated release details follow.
Before announcing their separation STEREOPONY announced a new single “Just rock with me” by a new unit EVANPONY. The girls joined forces with Evan Taubenfeld, an American musician best known as Avril Lavigne’s guitarist/producer to form new unit EVANPONY. The unit’s debut single “Just rock with me” with lyrics by NOHANA (bass) includes a new song coupling track by STEREOPONY. The single hit stores last week on October 24th – more details here.
The girls are also participating on the YUI tribute album “SHE LOVES YOU” that features 14 different female led groups each covering one of YUI’s songs. STEREOPONY is covering YUI’s hit song “again” on this album that also hit stores October 24th. More details on this release – here.
STEREOPONY made their major label debut in 2008 and they have provided several songs with tie-ins to anime such as BLEACH, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Darker than Black (season 2), and Tegami Bachi Reverse. STEREOPONY’s most recent single, their 11th, “stand by me” released May 30th and was featured as the ending theme for anime EUREKA SEVEN AO.

Their “BEST of STEREOPONY” comes in two editions,
– Limited with bonus DVD that tentatively planned to contain 70-min of off-shoot footage from the past 4 years (additional content possible) and booklet of previously unpublished photos. First Press adds bonus photo (at selected stores)

First Press on both have a voucher entry ticket for one of three launch events Stereopony will hold across Japan – details not yet announced but will be on voucher ticket.
