Aimer (エメ) has announced a new single “RE: I AM EP” with title song “RE: I AM” featured as the theme song for the new anime movie Mobile Suit Gundam UC Unicorn episode 6. The title song is produced and composed by Sawano Hiroyuki, a well know composer of music for anime (Blue Exorcist, Guilty Crown) and movies in Japan. The 6th installment of the Mobile Suit Gundam UC Unicorn “Uchu to Chikyu to…” (“Two Worlds, Two Tomorrows”) will open in theaters across Japan on March 2nd 2013. As with the other OVA chapters the DVD and Blu-ray editions with multi-language subtitles will release world-wide a few weeks later on March 22nd 2013. Release details.

Aimer’s debut single “Rokutousei no Yoru” was featured as ending theme for anime No. 6 and released a year and a half ago on September 7th 2011. Her second single “Re:pray” (2011.12.07) was featured as ending theme for anime BLEACH. Aimer’s 4th single “Anata ni Deawanakereba ~Natsuyuki Fuyuhana~” (2012.08.04) was featured as the ending theme song for anime Natsuyuki Rendezvous.
Aimer released her first original album “Sleepless Nights” on October 3rd which included her singles and coupling tracks since her major label debut plus a new song “Yako Ressha ~nothing to lose~” for 13 total tracks. More details are available in an earlier report here.
