Visual kei band SID is getting ready to release single ANNIVERSARY featured as the opening theme for second season of Magi – The Labyrinth of Magic, titled Magi – The Kingdom of Magic. Band SID is celebrating their 10th anniversary since forming in 2003 with 10 planned events this year. SID started their 10th anniversary releasing a greatest hits album SID 10th Anniversary BEST on January 16th 2013 and fans pushed it to #1 on the weekly Oricon charts. Band SID also provided the first opening theme for anime Magi – The Labyrinth of Magic with single V.I.P. (2012.11.21). The new single includes a live version of V.I.P. captured at their 10th Anniversary LIVE held April 6th 2013 at Yokohama Stadium.
Anime Magi – The Kingdom of Magic continues as the second season of anime Magi – The Labyrinth of Magic that aired 25 episodes October 2012 – April 2013. The anime is adapted from manga by Shinobu Ohtaka and takes characters and a re-telling of the Arabian Nights stories.
The anime features Ishihara Kaori as Aladden, and Yuuki Kaji as Alibaba, and Haruka Tomatsu as Morgana. Anime Magi – The Kingdom of Magic began airing in Japan October 6th 2013 on MBS TV and TBS TV.
