The Sketchbook has announced new single Soko ni Kimi ga Iru (そこに君がいる) and an anime song (anisong) cover album. The new single is their 9th and comes on two editions. The anisong cover album is planned for one edition. Single Soko ni Kimi ga Iru scheduled for release on January 29th 2014 and the (untitled) anisong cover album a month later on February 26th 2014. The Sketchbook most recently released their 8th single Asu he / Exit (明日へ) on September 25th 2013 (more details). Title track Asu he or Ashita e was featured as ending theme for music show Count Down TV on TBS TV for the month of September. Other title track Exit has tie-up as the second ending theme for anime TV series KINGDOM season two.
The band The Sketchbook was formed originally around the anime SKET DANCE which ended its run of 77 episodes in September 2012. Their first 5 singles and 11 total songs had tie-ups with the anime as opening and ending themes and insert songs. The band is now out on their own with four singles and 2 albums released or planned for release.
The Sketchbook has announced 3 launch events for their 9th single and anisong cover album. The events feature a mini-live with open viewing, handshake and signing meeting reserved for purchasers of either edition of the single or album, and purchasers of both the single and album get an instant photo with members,
