Sasaki Sayaka has announced new single Junction heart with tie-up as opening theme for anime TV series Broken Blade. Its her 9th single and first in over a year when she released Break your world (2013.01.23). Her new single includes coupling track NEO-DIMENSION also with tie-up as the theme song for mobile app/game BREAK x BURST. Singer/songwriter Sasaki Sayaka released her second album Daybreaker on May 15th 2013 (more details). The album includes her four singles released since her first album sympathetic world (2011.11), new songs, and more. Sasaki Sayaka signed with the Lantis record label after winning the 2009 3rd annual Animax Song Grand Prix of Japan. She often provides the lyrics for the coupling tracks on her singles.
Anime Broken Blade was originally adapted from manga by Yunosuke Yoshinaga and made into a six 50-min movie series (2010-2011). The TV anime adaption takes those six movies along with newly animated scenes to form a 12-episode series. The story is set on a distant planet with its people able to control quartz and technology based on this power. An ancient robot mech (Golem) is uncovered but its technology, while advanced is different and no one can operate it. Young man Rygart Arrow is one of the few un-sorcerers who can’t control quartz like everyone else – perhaps he is the key to unlocking the power of this ancient Golem and saving his people from invaders.
The TV-anime series Broken Blade is produced by Production I.G and begins airing in Japan April 6th 2014 on Tokyo MX. No announcements yet for availability outside of Japan for the new TV series. The 2010-2011 movie series is available at The Anime Network.
Aira Yuuki is set to provide the anime’s ending theme with her 12th single (untitled).
