GRANRODEO announced new single Punky Funky Love with tie-up as the opening theme for anime Kuroko’s Basketball (黒子のバスケ) season 3. The duo continues their collaboration with the anime having provided the previous two season’s four opening theme songs. Their 22nd single comes on three editions scheduled for release on January 28th 2015 – more early details and anime PV featuring the opening theme song Punky Funky Love follow.

Rock duo GRANRODEO consists of singer/voice actor KISHOW (Taniyama Kisho) and guitarist e-ZUKA (Iizuka Masaaki). They previously provided opening theme songs for anime Kuroko’s Basketball,

Most recently GRANRODEO teamed up with fellow rock band FLOW as unit FLOW x GRANRODEO and produced collaboration single 7 -seven- with tie-up as the ending theme for anime The Seven Deadly Sins (七つの大罪, Nanatsu no Taizai). The single released November 26th 2014 (more details).
GRANRODEO released their 6th original album Karma to Labyrinth (カルマとラビリンス) on September 24th 2014.
The anime Kuroko’s Basketball (Kuroko no Basuke), adapted from manga by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, centers around Kuroko Tetsuya part of a legendary Generation of Miracles middle school basketball team. He was the invisible 6th man on that team that no one seems to be able to remember but his presence was undeniable. He is now a first year at Serin High School and chooses to become the shadow for fellow first year Kagami Taiga (who spent his middle school in America) to help fulfill Kagami’s goal of becoming the best basketball player in Japan. Their team from Serin battles other teams including the 5 teams who each have one of the Generation of Miracles.
The 3rd season of Kuroko’s Basketball starts January 10th 2015 on MBS TV and Tokyo MX in Japan.
