The special unit consists of Kazuya Kamenashi (KAT-TUN) and Koji Tamaki with the main theme song for their TV drama series Tokyo Band Wagon. In the #4 spot is Kalafina with Kimi no Gin no Niwa the theme song/ending theme for anime movie anime movie Puella Magi Madoka Magica Rebellion. Hitting #6 is visual kei band SID with their 10th anniversary single ANNIVERSARY and opening theme for anime TV series Magi – The Kingdom of Magic.
Out of the top 10 but into the top 20 is Maon Kurosaki with X-encounter OP anime Tokyo Ravens, Minami Kuribayashi 32nd single True Blue Traveler OP anime Infinite Stratos, and Negicco with their 12th single Tokimeki no Headliner.
A rather dull album charts with few Japanese releases are topped by American artists Lady GAGA in #1 and Avril Lavigne in the #2 spot. Jin Akanishi’s self-produced album #JUSTJIN hits #3 and AKB48 idol Iwasa Misaki new solo album of enka songs Request Covers climbs into #8.

Topping the Oricon charts this week is SMAP with their 25th #1 and 48th overall single “Moment” – selling over 136,000 copies. *Its been 9 weeks in a row for male groups, duos, and solo on the top of the single charts.
In second spot is everyone’s favorite seiyuu Nana Mizuki and her double-A single BRIGHT STREAM with the theme songs for the new Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha movie and Dog Days anime. In the number three spot is another anime tie-in with NO NAME the actual and fictitious AKB48 idol unit providing the voice acting and theme songs for anime AKB0048. Rounding out the top 5 is CNBLUE and their 3rd Japanese single “Come on”.
On the album charts #1 for 3 weeks in a row is – Southern All Stars member Kuwata his solo album of greatest hits “I LOVE YOU -now & forever-“ selling another 61,000 copies.

ryo has updated the release information for the new single “ODDS&ENDS” feat.Hatsune Miku – the full track list has now been revealed. ryo, the leader of group supercell, wrote the new single to be used as the opening theme for Sony PSP Vita game “Hatsune Miku Project DIVA-f”. He previously provided the theme song for the first “Hatsune Miku Project DIVA” game with single “Sekiranun Graffiti” one year ago. Our favorite virtual idol Hatsune Miku made her virtual live appearance at 2 live concert events this past March (details previously posted). The concerts were the “HATSUNE MIKU Live Party 2012” (Mikupa 2012)on March 8th and “HATSUNE MIKU Concert Final 39’s Giving Day 2012” (Miku Concert Saigo no Miku no Hi Dai Kanshasai) on March 9th. DECO*27 well known for composing VOCALOID songs has a new single “Yume Yume – feat. Hatsune Miku”. The single comes in two editions, a Limited with bonus DVD and bonus mobile phone strap and a Limited with only the bonus DVD. The boys of Tohoshinki with their Spring ballad “STILL” easily takes the #1 spot for the March 21st singles charts with over 138,000 sold (release details). Dropping out of the #1 spot and landing in the #2 spot is Arashi and their single “Wild at Heart” selling just over 46,000 but that makes their 2 week total nearly 600,000 copies sold (release details).
The girls from RAINBOW and their new Japanese single “Gonna Gonna GO!” land in the #7 spot (release details). And sounding out the top 10 is singer/seiyuu Nana Mizuki with another release tied to the musical anime Symphogear.
The album charts get the final release from SDN48, “NEXT ENCORE” in the top spot with over 48,000 sold (release details). In the second spot with another 41,000 copies sold is Ikimonogakari and their album “NEWTRAL” which held the top spot for the past 2 weeks. They just edged out miwa and her album “guitarium” selling just over 40,000 copies. And the girls of AFTERSCHOOL with their new album “PLAYGIRLZ” has a good opening week landing in the #8 spot with over 16,000 copies sold (release details).
