Toping the single charts is NEWS with their double-A side single “WORLD QUEST / Pokopon Pekorya” both songs have tie-ins which helped push its sales over 130,000 copies. Last week’s #1 the11th 1+million selling single from AKB48, “Eien Pressure” drops into #2. Korean boy group SHINee hits #3 with “1000 Nen, Zutto Soba ni Ite…” and in the #5 spot is another Korean group U-KISS with “Distance…”

Just out of the top 10 at #11 is idol group 9nine with single “White Wishes” featured as the ending theme for anime My Little Monster (Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun) – selling over 12,000 copies.

Again topping the album charts is EXILE with “Best Hits Love Side / Soul Side” compilation album selling another 98,000 copies. Just back in #2 spot is singer/voice actress Nana Mizuki with her 9th album “ROCKBOUND NEIGHBORS” selling over 96,000 copies. In the #3 spot is Korean Kim Hyun Joong with his first Japanese album “unlimited” and landing in #5 spot is rock band flumpool with their 3rd album “experience”.

The Oricon charts are topped this week by NEWS and their single “Chankapana” selling over 244,000 copies. AKB48 sub-group French Kiss has their 5th single “Romance Privacy” landing in the #2 spot on the charts with over 85,000 copies sold. Singer and voice actress Kana Hanazawa charts well in the #4 spot (release details) and Korean sensation IU sees her second Japanese single chart in the 5th spot (release details).

On the album charts its Southern All Stars member Kuwata dominating with a special solo album of greatest hits “I LOVE YOU -now & forever-“ which had strong fan support selling over 430,000 copies. In the second spot is SEKAI NO OWARI with their album “ENTERTAINMENT” with 65,000 copies sold. And Namie Amuro’s album “Uncontrolled” which held the top spot for the past 3 weeks is pushed down to the #3 spot.

Last week’s single charts are topped by KANJANI8 with their single “Ai Deshita” selling a strong 262,000 copies. The group celebrated their 8th anniversary on the single’s release date (release details). Arashi charted #1 last week with their single “Your eyes” and it drops into the second spot this week selling another 42,000 copies (release details). In the number three spot is Erena Ono making here solo debut after graduating from AKB48 in September 2010 with her single “Erepyon”. This single is featured a theme for TV series “Legal High”.

Over on the album charts top honors go to NEWS and their compilation album “NEWS BEST” selling 109,000 copies. In second spot is enka artist Kiyoshi Hikawa with his album “Enka Meikyoku Collection 16 – Sakura-“ with 40,000 sold. A familiar face in the third and fourth spots is again Mr. Children who has been charting for over a month with their now certified by the RIAJ 1million album(s) “Mr. Children 2005-2010 MACRO” and “Mr. Children 2001-2005 MICRO”.

AKB48 sister group out of Namba, Osaka, NMB48 again blasted the charts at #1 with over 265,000 sold of their 2nd single “Oh My God!” With their 1st single also selling at +200K makes it two in a row for NMB48 and is a first for any female group. Making a strong showing at #2 is BUMP OF CHICKEN with their single “Zero” at over 163,000 copies sold. “Zero” is featured as theme for popular RPG game “FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0.” KARA should have picked a different week to release their newest single “Winter Magic” but they did well to land in the #3 spot.

Fall anime theme songs from Minori Chihara and Maaya Sakamoto make the charts in the 9th and 10th spots respectively.

On the album side duo Tegomass consisting of NEWS members Yuya Tegoshi and Takahisa Masuda hit the #1 spot with their 3rd album release “Magic of Tegomass.” Kazuyoshi Saito and his new album “45 STONES” slides into the #2 spot just ahead of Coldplay’s “Mylo Xyloto” in #3.
