BIGBANG is releasing “ALIVE -MONSTER EDITION-”, a repackaged version of their mini-album “ALIVE” to commemorate their Japan tour “BIGBANG ALIVE TOUR 2012 IN JAPAN”. The album comes in three editions and one will include a limited edition T-shirt. In addition to new packaging the album adds songs – “MONSTER”, “Still ALIVE”, and “Bingle Bingle” and the Limited editions’ DVD is new also with different tracks. BIGBANG has been posting full length videos from their performances on “YG On Air” – which are special stages and performances aired through YouTube and Naver. One stage per day from March 20th through March 25th the group performed tracks off their mini-album “ALIVE”. Topping the single charts is Fukuyama Masaharu with “Ikiteru Ikiteku” – his 14th #1 single selling nearly 120,000 copies and he is still the #1 all time selling male solo artist in Japan. In the #2 spot is UVERworld and “7th Trigger” (release details) selling over 52,000 copies. The top two singles from last week Kis-My-Ft2 with “SHE! HER! HER!” and KARA with “Speed Up / Girls Power” land in the 3rd and 4th spots respectively.
On the album charts its Kis-My-Ft2 first album release “Kis-My-1st” selling a strong 253,000 (release details). Its a great follow up to their 3rd single that charted #1 last week and 3rd this week – these kids are hot. Number two spot goes to duo Porno Graffitti and “PANORAMA PORNO” selling over 56,000 (release details). In third is popular Korean group BIGBANG with their Japanese release of “ALIVE” selling over 52,987 (release details). Their sister group 2NE1 also released album “COLLECTION” and landing in the #5 spot with over 22,000 sold (release details).

Korean group BIGBANG has exposed the music video for single “BLUE” on their official Youtube channel and released the single via iTunes. The song is part of their upcoming 5th mini-album release “ALIVE” which is set for a February 29th release in Korean and a Japanese version that includes additional tracks on March 28th. TV Asahi’s music show “MUSIC STATION” guest lineup for the Friday January 20th airing has just been released – Ikimonogakari, Sexy Zone, Tokyo Jihen, BIGBANG, JUN SKY WALKER(S) - are all set to perform. More details on the performances follow,
The singles top spot easily went to Kis-My-Ft2 and their second single “We never give up!” with more than 245,000 sold. Even though Kis-My-Ft2 has been around since 2005 their major label debut was just this past August and their popularity can’t be questioned as the group was also named ‘rookie of the year’ for total sales ranking by Oricon.
UVERworld and their single “Baby Born & Go/Kinjito” landed in the 2nd spot. And still showing the power of K-ON! the opening and ending theme singles for the K-ON! movie stayed on the charts for the second week dropping to the 9th and 10th spots.
On the album side there were limited new releases for the week though Korean Group Big Bang released their “The Best of BIGBANG” and landed in the number 2 spot. Top spot went to KARA with their album “Super Girl” which has charted now for 4 weeks, never worse than 3rd on the weekly rankings.

Based on the Oricon daily numbers for singles the #1 spot will easily go to Kis-My-Ft2 and their second single “We never give up!” with more than 220,000 sold. Oricon has also just crowned them rookie of the year in sales ranking. The Johnny’s Entertainment septet who had their official debut in August recorded a total revenues for the year of ¥1.47 billion.
Second spot on the singles charts will go to UVERworld and their single “Baby Born & Go/Kinjito” with more than 48,000 is sales. Last week’s #1, AKB48′s “Ue kara Mariko” will land in the 3rd spot and Japanese debut by Korean boy group U-KISS, “Tick Tack” (check out the preview video here) after a strong first day sales should have enough for the top 5.
