Topping the single charts is the first solo single from Hey! Say! JUMP member Ryosuke Yamada – “Mystery Virgin” sold a strong 188,000 copies which put it easily on top. In third spot is Yuzu with “REASON” featured as the new ending theme for anime Hunter x Hunter. And girl-boy group Fudanjuku hits the charts in the 9th spot with “Jinsei Wahaha!

The album charts are topped by Ayumi Hamasaki with her self cover album “Classical” featuring full classical arrangements on her popular songs.

OriconThe past week’s single charts are topped by Arashi with their 3rd single release of 2012 “Your eyes” selling a very strong but typical for this very popular group, 477,000 copies (release details). This single is the group’s 28th #1 charting song in a row and their 35th #1 overall. In the second spot is Korean group 2PM and their single “Beautiful” selling over 141,000 copies (release details).

Rounding out the top three is favorite voice actress/singer Nana Mizuki with her single/EP “Time Space” (release details) that includes three songs including “METRO BAROQUE” the theme song for anime movie BLOOD-C The Last Dark.

On the album charts its Hey! Say! JUMP topping with their second album “JUMP WORLD” selling over 126,000 copies (release details). Second spot are the girls from T-ARA with their first Japanese album “Jewelry box” with over 57,000 copies sold (release details). In the third and fourth spots and continuing with strong sales is Mr. Children and their compilation albums “Mr. Children 2005-2010 MACRO” and “Mr. Children 2001-2005 MICRO” each selling another 23,000+ copies.

Hey! Say! JUMP has just announced their 2nd album (not yet titled) and set for release on June 6th. Its been about two years since the group released their first album “JUMP NO. 1” and their fans have been waiting in much anticipation. The album comes in two editions a Limited and a Regular which will include their singles “SUPER DELICATE”, “Magic Power”, “OVER”, and “‘Arigato’ ~Sekai no Doko ni Ite mo” as well as a bunch of new songs and bonus tracks – 14 total for Limited and 15 total for the Regular. Hey! Say! JUMP and their first single release for 2012 “SUPER DELICATE” top the singles charts with a strong over 248,000 sold. Making their debut idol group Nogizaka46 with “Guru Guru Curtain” lands in second spot with 136,000 sold. The girls of SCANDAL and their long awaited single and perhaps one of the last BLEACH opening theme songs “Harukaze” ends up in 5th with almost 26,000 sold.

On the album charts the boys also take the top stop with KAT-TUN and their album “Chain” selling over 103,000 copies. AI and her first album in over 2 years “INDEPENDENT” edges into the second spot with over 20,000 sold. The album includes the theme song for anime movie Berserk – “Utsukushikimono”. Seiyuu/singer Yui Horie is a close 3rd with “Himitsu” and close to 19,000 sold.
